Nicholas L. Kelly
Nick started his security experience at age 17 by enlisting in the United States Military as a Military Police Officer. In addition to the Army & Military Police training he received, he also attended special classes such as Seaport Security Anti terrorism Training taught by the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. Along with The Military Customs Inspector Course taught by the United States Customs Department. He was awarded recognition from the 20th Special Forces Group for his outstanding performance and work ethic. He Successfully completed the Emergency Planning Course instructed by Iowa Department of Homeland Security. Successfully completed the Basic Personal Protection Course by Training Specialist. These classes along with countless other hours of classes are a small example of the drive and desire Nick has for the security industry.
Furthermore, Nick has over 6 years professional management experience maintaining, developing, and increasing sales while increasing profitablity and employee base.
With Nick's unique background and understanding of security, along with over 14 years experience has more than qualified him for his position in the security industry.

Director of Operations
Paul Crews
Paul started his career in 1968 working for the Parks and Recreation in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This experience fueled his desire and interest in the security industry. While at St. Cloud State College in 1971 the interest grew to working concerts on campus.
In 1973 Paul enlisted in the Air National Guard and began a 10 year medical career in the United States military. This would cover two branches of service, Air Force and Army, to include: active duty, National Guard and reserve Component. In late 1974 Paul worked for Pinkerton Security Services in Minneapolis and commuted to college. 1976 He went back to active duty and spent most of his career in the medical arena, training in the field of Perfusion during three years at the Presidio of San Francisco, California. Upon leaving the Army in 1980, he embarked on a 27 year medical and security career in the greater Des Moines area. During Paul’s spare time out of surgery he was working various security jobs in nightclubs, family recreation areas, and in the hospital setting.
In 1991 Paul began training in Tae Kwon Do, and is currently a Fourth Degree Black Belt, and Instructor for Breese Family Tae Kwon Do. Paul has been a self-defense Instructor for 16 years in the Des Moines area.
To further Paul's career in the security industry, in 2001 he decided to become a licensed Private Investigator in the state of Iowa. Paul worked for 2 separate agencies over the years including owning his own agency. Paul currently heads up the private investigation at 03 Direct Security.
Paul’s extensive knowledge of the medical field, private investigation, along with over 20+ years in the security industry makes him an invaluable resource to the 03 Direct Security team.
